Considering Adoption?

Today’s adoptions allow you to be part of your child’s life if desired. This option can give you the peace of mind, knowing your child is loved and cared for by the couple you choose. It can seem like a scary decision, but we are here to help. Are you considering adoption? Many women who choose adoption have noted a variety of reasons for believing that this option is the best outcome for their child.

Perhaps you’re considering an adoption because:

  • You do not want an abortion, but aren’t ready to be a parent.
  • You want to provide your child with a two parent family.
  • You want to provide your child emotional and financial stability.
  • You are currently living in an environment that is not conducive to raising a child.

You Have The Power To Choose

Adoption is a viable option for all of your parenting concerns. Whether you want contact with your child and adoptive parents through an open adoption, or would prefer a closed adoption, the choice is completely yours. We understand that this is not an easy decision to make, but only you can make this decision regarding your future and your child’s future.

Open Adoption v. Close Adoption

Florida is an open adoption state, which means that the birth mother has open contact with the child and adoptive parents post-adoption. According to American Adoptions, nine out of 10 adoptions are open adoptions. Open adoptions allow the birth mother to have communication with the child and adoptive parents in a variety of ways, including phone calls, video chatting, in-person visits and more throughout the child’s life. A closed adoption, however, does not disclose information about the birth parents or adoptive parents to the other party involved during the process. Additionally, in a closed adoption, there is no post-adoption contact between the birth mother and the child or the adoptive parents and the birth mother.
